Tofu Chili, Created By House Foods

INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg House Foods Tofu Extra Firm, drained and cubed
1 Tbs. olive oil
¾  cup onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 jalepeno, seeded and chopped
½ tsp. minced garlic
2 Tbs. chili powder
½ tsp. cumin
1 Tbs. brown sugar
2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 (16oz.) can kidney beans
½ cup vegetable broth
1 can low sodium tomato sauce
dash paprika

DIRECTIONS:
Heat olive oil in a large pot.  Add onion and garlic and sauté until tender.
Add vegetable broth, bell pepper, jalepeno, chili powder, cumin, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and kidney beans, stirring to combine.
Add tomato sauce and simmer for about 30 minutes or until kidney beans and peppers are cooked through.
Add cubed tofu and cook additional minute or two.  Serve and enjoy!

WWE Fit Series DVD with Stephanie McMahon

WWE Fit Series Stephanie McMahon, 2014


This DVD contains five 7-17 minute workouts. Stephanie leads with 6 WWE divas in the WWE training center. The DVD contains a 4 week workout calendar. You can mix and match, play all or select a workout and the workouts contain audio options. You will need dumbbells for these workouts and an exerciser shows some modifications.

Upper Body (13 min): After a warmup Stephanie shows a demo of each exercise. You will perform 2 rounds of the following exercises push-ups, bi curls, row, kickbacks. The first round is 8 reps and the second 12. The workoout concludes with a cooldown.

Lower Body (15 min): After a warmup Stephanie shows a demo of each exercise. You will perform 2 rounds of the following exercises squats, dips, deadlift, modified plank glute raises, and donkey hip circles. The first round is 8 reps and the second 12. The workoout concludes with a cooldown.

Abs/Core (11 min): After a warmup Stephanie shows a demo of each exercise. This is a tabata style routine, you perform each exercise for 20 seconds with 10 seconds rest in between. Exercises include plank to pike, runner sit ups, double crunch press, flutter kicks, plank hip twists, crunches, straight leg lifts, and toe touches. 

Cardio (17 min): After a warmup Stephanie shows a demo of each exercise. You will perform two circuits, 6-12 reps of eahc exercise. Exercises include: elevator planks, burpees, Mt. climbers, plank jacks, squat to lunge, walk out push-ups, plank to side plank, bridge, and cool down. 

Flexibility (7 min): This athletic stretch routine includes runners lunge, pigeon pose, child pose, supine knee pull across, inner thigh frog stretch, cobra, squat to stand. 

These are solid to high intermediate routines. Stephanie provides plenty of form pointers and exercise demos. She provides rest breaks and motivation. I received this DVD to review.

Stephanie leads this 26 min strength workout with 3 backgrounders, all showing various modifications. Stephanie performs level 4 in this workout and each exercise will hit multiple muscles. You will need weights or a band for this workout.

After a warm up, exercises include wide squats & overhead raise, lunge & delt raise, tree pose & angled out bi curl, pushup variations, diagonal lunge & curl, single leg deadlift & row, iso lunges & kickback, single leg bridge & tri drop, pec fly with toe drops, and a cool down.

I rate this a solid to high intermediate workout, but as with all XTF workouts - choose which modifier to follow and adjust your poundage to get more or less of a challenge. This one accomplishes a lot in a short amount of time. I received this DVD to review.

As you all know, I am always looking for green products, chemical free products, and ways to make my house & life healthier so when the opportunity to review Green Virgin Products  arose - I jumped at it! I was first intrigued by their liquid soap nuts laundry soap. I have used soap nuts in the past but never seen a liquid version. Let me tell you it is so cool! It is all natural and works wonders- even on those stinky gym clothes! Next I saw they offer a non toxic all purpose cleaner and was even more excited! I have tried making my own cleaner but the recipe I used smelled horrible & didnt seem to do a great job. Both Green Virgin Products I had the opportunity to try worked wonderfully! Killer Weights
This is a 55 minute strength workout that is fully chaptered. You will need dumbbells, a tall box, and an optional yoga block & dowel for this workout. They work out in a mansion-esque set.

After a warm up, and classic floor core work, exercises include: leg press & dip, uneven pushups, dip knee up & bi curl, dip glute raise & row, dowel calf lunges, balance overhead press, balance French press & side raise, single leg hover squats & knee up, weighted static lat arm hold & tall box climb, upper back fly, tri kickbacks, tri pushup variations, tri dip step outs, a side lying pilates lower body routine, and a towel yoga inspired stretch and cool down.

I rate this an intermediate routine. The leads start each exercise with your non-dominant side. The time went by fast in this workout and all of the leads provide great instruction and cuing. 

Killer Cardio
This is a 52 min cardio & abs parts workout that is fully chaptered. You will need a tall box & light weights for this workout. They work out in a mansion-esque set. 

The workout contains a warm up, kickboxing work, tall box work, light 4 limb, floor aerobics,  floor core work, a cool down & a stretch. Exercises include: punch & squat, ham curls, chasse, squat & hop, roundhouse kick & cross, jabs, slow & tempo tall box climb, tall box push, jab cross slip, tall box straddle & jump lunge, jump rope, cardio lunges & kick, hopscotch, boxers shuffle, march, side step, shuffle, bob & weave, dip & overhead press, side lunge & row, step kick & punch, fast & slow skater, plyo, crunches, oblique crunches, bicycle, rolling like a ball, swimmer, and V hold.

I rate this an intermediate routine that you can easily modify up or down. Great variety of exercises & I enjoy the fun kickboxing routines. All the choreo is easy to follow & the instructors all provide great cuing & instruction. I received these dvds to review.

We tossed our Cluck n' Moo burgers on the grill and they were amazing. We used flat whole grain buns, and some bbq sauce, grilled onions & mushrooms for a really amazing burger that is good for us and we felt good about eating. I would highly recommend Cluck n' Moo to you!


Of course I have to point out that their chickens & cows are grass fed! Their cows & chickens are humanely raised and are antibiotic free. This is very important to me in the food I consume. The burgers are certified gluten free, paleo, and contains a lot less fat, calories, and sugar than your average burger.

ULTIMATUM Black Workout Revivew

Lindsi leads this 36 minute weighted cardio & strength workout in a gym with 4 backgrounders. You will need dumbbells for this workout. Lindsi uses 10# weights for the cardio –making this a challenging workout!

After a warmup & stretch, exercises include cardio using moderate poundage weights and pure strength moves: burpees, dip & curl then jack, skater, football shuffle & overhead press, moguls down to pushups, squat & kick, bi curl variations, dumbbell reach down to toe to overhead reach, pec fly, squat & pull down, upright row to shoulder press, elevator plank & dumbbell pass through, supine fast punches, and concludes with a “last blast” 20 seconds of each: plyo squats & lunges, fast jacks, high & wide knees, X jumps, squat & row, pike jacks, row & curl and wipaer to overhead press.


I rate this an advanced workout. Lindsi’s cuing & instruction are great & I really like her personality. Love the use of weights for the cardio exercises –which really ups the challenge. There is no wasted time, but Lindsi does provide some very welcome rest breaks. I am really enjoying these workouts & love the intensity of this set – a great challenge without the dread!
