PeakFit Challenge Review & Info: Anywhere, Anytime, No Excuse Workout Review

PeakFit: I was lucky enough to get Michelle Dozois' PeakFit Challenge dvd set as a birthday gift from a wonderful friend!!! I will have the reviews up as I do the workouts in the next few weeks. The set includes:
  • 10 Workout DVDs
  • PeakFit Challenge Band
  • Nutrition Guide
  • Rotation Calendar
  • Free On-line One Year Club Membership
  • Fit Test Card
  • Tape Measure

So far I have done 2 dvds and so far I am really impressed. The dvds were designed very well- really allowing for you to give it your all for the duration of the workout and still giving you a tough workout! Most of the dvds are 50-60 minutes long- so you are getting plenty of workout minutes for your $69.99 (+ free shipping!). I think this set is a good bargain considering that you are getting A LOT of god quality TOUGH workout minutes and a very well laid out rotation to follow. I like Michelle and can't wait to try the rest of the workouts in the set! Click on my PeakFit tab above to see all my PeakFit reviews/ posts as they go up.

PeakFit Challenge: Anywhere, Anytime, No Excuse Workout
Michelle Dozois, 2011

Michelle leads this 45 minute workout in a wide open white & hardwood room with a group of background exercisers. You will not need any equipment for this workout. It is mostly sports drills (cardio) but includes some body weight resistance work. A few modifications are shown.

This ascent metabolic training workout is structured so that the intensity of the exercises climb and peak with a 30 second blast. You perform each circuit twice in 5 minutes. There is a countdown timer that tells you where youre at in the workout and each circuit. Exercises include: jack variations, lunge variations, plyo gate swings, drop squats, plyo lunges, knee pulls, power jacks, push ups & plank variations, ski jumps, power knee up to floor touch, plank shuffle, high knee jog, plank to crab, 180 plyo jumps to floor touch, tuck jumps to plank, squat hops, etc.

I would rate this a high intermediate workout that includes some advanced work but also some low impact body weight work, making it very doable but still challenging. Michelle is a fantastic lead- great attitude, cuing, and all around fantastic instruction. I really enjoyed this workout and was left dripping sweat! Cant wait to try the rest of the dvds in the set!
