RAVE: Fage: Total Greek Yogurt

Fage is a leading global brand of all-natural, premium yogurt made in the USA. FAGE Total Greek yogurt offers a distinctively rich, creamy fresh dairy flavor and texture that is uncommonly luxurious! FAGE is Greece's largest dairy company, producing milk, cheese and yogurt for customers worldwide.  Owned and strategically led by the Filippou family since its founding in 1926, they feature traditional style Greek yogurt, known for its ridiculously thick consistency.  FAGE products were first distributed in the United States in 1998.

The Belles had the great pleasure of sampling Fage yogurt and we are in LOVE!

FAGE (pronounced “fa-yeh”) Total Greek yogurt is 100% natural Greek yogurt, free of additives, preservatives, and sweeteners made with only three ingredients:  raw milk, raw cream and live active cultures. The milk is pastuerized to destroy any harmful bacteria. Next, the Fage Total live cultures are added. The yogurt then undergoes a unique straining process to remove the watery whey which gives Fage Total yogurt its thick, creamy texture. And for the health conscious, strained yogurt has a higher protein content - with up to 23g of protein in each individual serving - and a lower sugar content than unstrained yogurt. Score! FAGE Total Greek Yogurt makes a great addition to any healthy eating plan because of its high concentration of all-natural protein, raw ingredients, low calorie count and unique versatility. FAGE Total Greek Yogurt is a healthy hand in the kitchen too. With its thick, creamy texture, it can easily replace higher-calorie foods, such as cream, mayonnaise, crème fraiche and sour cream in many recipes. So you can cut the calories without sacrificing the taste.
