REVIEW: Linda Wooldridge Interval Barre Fusion Total Core DVD

Linda Wooldridge, 2015

This disc contains three 24 min core routines and a warmup & cooldown segment. You can choose a segment from the main menu. You will need a mat and a barre or chair for this DVD. Linda works out barefoot in a studio alone. 

Cardio Interval Tone 50: This routine is 50 seconds of unweighted lower body work followed by 10 seconds of rest for 25 rounds. Exercises include standing knee pulls, punch & knee pulls, crouching twists, torso twist & push outs, side knees, standing side crunches, forward & back kicks, sweep & twist, sumo knee ups, plie twist & tap series, and rib cage shifts.

Barre Intervals 40: 
 You perform 36 exercises for 40 seconds each with no rest between. Exercises incude: side bends, side reach downs, cross knee pulls, balance knee pulls, standing leg sweep & crunch, cross knee sweep & pull, standing knee sweep series, table top knee pull series, pretzel series, lying elbow to knee pull & sweep, side knee plank knee pulls, supine scissors, and frog press.

Micro and Iso Core: 
You perform 21 exercises nonstop for 50 seconds each followed by an iso hold to really burn out the muscle. Exercises include plank to crouch, plank hip dips, plank hold, side knee plank elbow to knee pull, side knee plank hip drops, V sit series, C curve series, flutter kicks, side knee crunches, leg helicopters, reverse crunch twists, and rope climb sit ups.

I rate these higher intermediate routines. Lots of great core work that you will feel the next day. Linda makes the time really fly in these routines. I LOVE the cardio interval routine the most, super fun and so unique. I would consider it an active core routine that keeps you moving. Linda is a great instructor with a calm & motivating demeanor.
