Figure 8 Fitness: Core Moves/ Signature Moves/ Tips/ and Layering Reviews

These routines are all on disc one of the basic set. Disc one also includes 2 full length workouts (reviews to come!) and a stretch & flex segment. You will not need any equipment for these routines. Jaana works out with 2 backgrounders for most of these.

Core Moves: (7 min) This is an instructional workout, where you learn the moves as you do them. The core moves include lateral, rotation, and flexion. Jaana explains common errors & provides proper technique for each move. You will learn/ perform hip circles, standing front crunches, and hip circles.

Signature Moves: (6 min) Jaana explains the basics of merengue, samba & pasadoble. While this is instructional- it is also its own little workout. Learn while you move!

Tips: (4 min) Jaana provides tips including breathing and full range of motion. This portion is entirely instructional.

Layering: (7 min) Jaana explains the 4 layers of Figure 8 Fitness: foot patters, body action, arm action, and intensity. Because the workouts are layered, they are easy to learn & fun to do! The way the workouts are layered make it easy to master each move and if you dont want to add on a layer- simply skip it!

I am so glad they included all of these segments with the set. I am not a dancer but with the instructional workouts provided in the set really make the exercises easy to do. Jaana provides excellent instruction and makes sure you know how to really get the most out of each exercise. Following Jaanas instruction each & every move will hit your core! Figure 8 Fitness will keep you interested without being frustrated trying to learn complicated moves. I found all of these lower intermediate in intensity & choreography. I received this DVD to review.
