Review: JNL Fusion: Shoulder Shredder & Ballistic Back

This dvd contains two separate workouts: Shoulder Shredder and Ballistic Back. Jennifer leads these workout in a gym with a group background exercisers who provide various intensity options. You will need dumbbells and an optional cordless jump rope. A very short cooldown is also included. Music options are also available and a band modifier is shown.
Shoulder Shredder: Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (shoulder/ cardio and triceps/ cardio) and then repeat those 3 times.Exercises include: military press, lat raise, floor touch squat shuffles, front raise, floor touch jacks, bakc fly, star jacks, french press, plank run, tri kickbacks, 1 leg plank hops, tri dips, and plank moguls.

Ballistic Back: Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (back/ cardio and lower body/ cardio) and then repeat those 3 times. Exercises include: dip and rear leg raise, floor touch hops, good mornings, speed rope, dip -knee up-squats, criss cross jacks & floor touch, rows, twisting punches, back fly, butt kicks, burpee-side knee pulls, plank glute pinches, and supermans. 
I rate these both advanced- the cardio also burns out the muscles and it really accomplishes a lot in a short amount of time. I used moderately heavy weights and really felt the burn or down. Jennifer is super motivating and provides great form pointers. All the exercises are easy to follow and athletic in nature. I received this dvd to review.

This is a 35 min upper body strength & cardio interval workout. Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers who provide various intensity options. You will need dumbbells and an optional cordless jump rope. A very short cooldown is also included. Music options are also available and a band modifier is shown.
Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (one upper body & one cardio) 3 times each. Exercises include: close grip row, hop scotch, row to fly, hi knee run, military press, speed rope, bi curls, 1 leg plank hops, hammer curls, jacks, French press, pushups, and plank frog hops. 
I rate this a high intermediate workout, but easy to modify up or down. Appropriate for all fitness levels- just choose your modifier. The time really flies in this workout and you can really fatigue your UB muscles and get a great sweat on. Jennifer has an awesome energy, is very motivating and provides great form pointers. I love the 30 second format that really allows you to give each exercise your all, no boredom, and not rushed. All the exercises are easy to follow and athletic in nature. This is a 28 min core & cardio kickboxing workout. Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers who provide various intensity options. You will need an optional cordless jump rope. A very short cooldown is also included. Music options are also available.
Each kickboxing inspired exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (one core & one cardio) and then repeat those 3 times. Exercises include: hooks, upper cuts, squat & front kick, squat & side kick, criss cross jacks, jacks, jump rope, rapid fire kicks, speed bag shuffle, and front punches.
I rate this a solid intermediate workout, but easy to modify up or down. Appropriate for all fitness levels- just choose your modifier. Love that the core exercises are functional punches & kicks. Jennifer has a great energy, is very motivating and provides great form pointers. I love the 30 second format that really allows you to give each exercise your all, time really flies,  no boredom, and no frantic transitions. All the exercises are easy to follow and athletic in nature. I received this dvd to review.

This is a 32 min active core & core focused cardio interval workout. Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers who provide various intensity options. You will need an optional cordless jump rope & a towel for this workout. A very short cooldown is also included. Music options are also available.
Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (one core focused cardio & one active core) and then repeat those 3 times. Exercises include: donkey kick plank moguls, scissor jacks w/ torso twists, towel torso twists, mogul hops, pony, elbow to hip pulls, standing pikes, pony, speed rope, V knee pulls, 1 leg pike hops, crab kicks, and V sit flutter kicks.
I rate this a high intermediate workout. Unique & different exercises from the other JNL workouts.  Love that the core work is active & keeps the heart rate up and that the cardio work also hits the core. Jennifer has a great energy & her & the crowd are very motivating. I love the 30 second format that really allows you to give each exercise your all, time really flies,  no boredom, and no frantic transitions. All the exercises are easy to follow and athletic in nature. I received this dvd to review.

This is a 4 min standing & floor core routine. Jennifer leads in a gym w/ a group of background exercisers. You will need a towel for some of the ab work. There are music options available and modifications are performed.
Keeping in the JNL style- each stretch is performed for 30 seconds. She alternates standing & floor core work and really makes the most of under 5 minutes. Exercises  include: elbow to knee pull down, bicycle, elbow to hip pull down, V crunches, & torso twists.
This is a great quick ab workout that is appropriate for all fitness levels. Jennifer is a great lead and provides great form & breathing reminders. Great variety of exercises and no wasted time. Great for those days when you dont have a lot of time but want to get in some ab work. I received this dvd to review.

Review~ JNL Fusion: Fusion Stretch

This is a 24 min standing & floor stretch. A barefoot Jennifer leads in a gym w/ a group of background exercisers. You will need a towel for some of the stretches. There are music options available and modifications are performed.

Keeping in the JNL style- each stretch is performed for 30 seconds. Standing stretches include: side bends, neck rolls, neck stretches, forward bend & fold, crouching spine stretch, & crouching calf stretch. floor stretches include: spine twist, butterfly stretch, seated lower body stretches, and she uses the towel to enhance the stretches.

This is a great get-the-job done stretch dvd! I really enjoyed it and am not typically a fan of stretch dvds. It really is a must have in this set and I highly recommend using it in conjunction with all the strength work youre doing in these workouts. Love that this is relaxing and rejuvenating but not boring. Jennifer is a great lead and provides great form & breathing reminders. I received this dvd to review.

This is a 10 min total body + cardio workout.  Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers. You will need an optional cordless rope & dumbbells for this workout.  Modifications are shown, including a band option. Music options are available.

Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds and she alternates upper body, lower body, and cardio. Exercises include: military press, squats, speed rope, bi curls, dips, plyo scissors, French press, deadlift, hi knee run, rows, weighted elbow to knee pulls, and burpees w/a  180 jump.

I rate this a high intermediate workout; intensity can vary depending on poundage used. Love the athletic nature & straight forward get it done exercises in this workout. Great as an add-on or for days that are short on time. Accomplishes a lot in only 10 minutes- do it 2ce for double your calorie burn!  Jennifer has a great energy and is very motivating. Review: JNL Fusion Speed & Agility

This is a 18 min pure cardio sports drills workout.  Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers. You will need an optional cordless rope for this workout. Music options are available.

Structured a little differently than previous workouts- three cardio exercises are performed 3 times each. Exercises include: plyo basketball shoots, soccer kicks, football shuffle, side shuffle floor touches, mogul skis, bunny hops, and floor touch plyo jumps. 

I rate this a solid to high intermediate cardio workout, that is easily modified to fit most all fitness levels. Love the athletic sports drills and found this to be a unique & effective sweat inducing workout that accomplishes a lot in a short amount of time. Jennifer has a great energy and is very motivating. I received this dvd to review.

Review: JNL Fusion: Lower Body Fusion and Lean Legs



JNL Fusion: Lower Body Fusion & Lean Legs

 This disc contains two lower body workouts. Jennifer leads these workouts in a gym with a group background exercisers. You will need dumbbells and an optional cordless rope for both workouts. Music options are available.

Fusion Lower Body: This is a 28 min lower body & cardio circuit. Two exercise (one LB & one cardio) are performed three times. Exercises include: lunge, plyo lunge, dip, plank frog hops, squat to kick, squat jacks, pliets, squat side kicks, crab plyo kicks, calf raises, and cross country skiing. I rate this workout advanced! Love that the cardio exercise often mimics the previous strength exercise.

Lean Legs: This is a 29 min lower body & cardio circuit workout. You perform one cardio & one LB strength exercise three times. Exercises include: squats, squat hops, split lunges, jump rope, sumo squats, plyo jacks, 1 leg balance deadlift, scissor jacks, calf raises, Heisman drill, bridge, & superman leg raises. I rate this routine solid to high intermediate.

The advanced mod shows a band option. The w/o's are different from each other & compliment each other well. Jennifer has a great energy, is very motivating and provides great form pointers. The exercisers are using lighter weights but I found I could use moderately heavy poundage and really burn out my muscles while still keeping pace. The workouts really allow you to go at your own pace. I received this dvd to review.

Review: JNL Fusion Bicep Builder



JNL Fusion: Crazy Circuit Cardio

This is a 29 min bicep, chest, & cardio circuit workout. Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers who provide various intensity options. You will need a pair of moderately heavy dumbbells & an optional cordless jump rope. A very short cooldown is also included. Music options are also available. 

This workout alternates cardio exercises with bicep and chest exercises. Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises (one bicep or chest and one cardio) and then repeat those 3 times. Exercises include: bi curls, jump rope, hammer curls, burpee- pushups, side bi curls, plyo squats, V pushups, speed bag shuffle, scissor jacks w/ chest press, wide pushups, horizontal conditioning kick outs, and X pushups to side plank.

Because of the nonstop nature and amount of pushups in the w/o I rate it advanced.  This workout really packs a punch in < 30 min! My chest & biceps were really worked and my heart was pumping- I was drenched in sweat by the end. As always, Jennifers energy is very motivating and her form pointers are spot on. Love the 30 second format and the athletic exercises that are easy to follow and really get the job done in a short amount of time. I received this dvd to review.

This is one of the bonus discs included in the set. This disc contains two 8 minute core workouts: Ab Shredder & Core Complete. Jennifer leads this workout in a gym with a group background exercisers. You will need a towel to hold for some of the core work. Music options are available.

These two workouts alternates floor and standing core exercises. Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. Exercises include:  elbow to knee pull pull, crunches, leg raise toe touches, elbow to hip pull, V twists, crab knee pulls, plank knee pulls, bike, standing  torso twists, and V holds.

I rate these  solid intermediate workouts.  Different exercises in both workouts make these great for variety- I love doing some core work each day and love that the set includes multiple core workouts. Jennifer has a great energy, is very motivating and provides great form pointers. I love the 30 second format that really allows you to give each exercise your all with no boredom and no frantic transitions. I received this dvd to review.

This workout alternates cardio exercises with core exercises. Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds with very little rest in between moves. You perform 2 exercises and then repeat those 3 times. Exercises include: weighted elbow to knee pulls, floor touch plyo jumps, jump rope variations, weighted twisting punhces, floor touch V hops, squat & pelvic thrusts, criss cross jacks, Mt climbers, power kicks, and weighted overhead punches.

 I rate this a solid to high intermediate workout, but appropriate for all fitness levels- just choose your modifier. Jennifer has a great energy, is very motivating and provides great form pointers. I love the 30 second format that really allows you to give each exercise your all with no boredom and no frantic transitions.
