RIPPEDISM 2: RIPPEDISM 2: Back/ Core/ Cardio Review


RIPPEDISM 2 has arrived! I am a huge fan of the original RIPPEDISM workout (you can read my reviews here) so when I learned about RIPPEDISM 2 - I knew I was in for a treat. RIPPEDISM 2 picks up where RIPPEDISM 1 left off and the system will challenge you in an entirely new way. Jeff & Stu bring you seventeen all new workouts in this all new 9 week program that is available for streaming or download! They offer monthly or annual subscriptions on their website and have an app. Follow the ripped diet with the use of their macro calculator and utilize their recipes, shopping lists and more. RIPPEDISM 2: Back/ Core/ Cardio

Jeff & Stu both lead this 37 min back, core & cardio routine. You will only need dumbbells and the guys offer modifications for many exercises. The Burn week workouts format is: six rounds of 5 exercises (3 back, 1 cardio, 1 core) each performed for 45 seconds followed by a 15 second rest with a 30 second rest between sets. The workouts include warm up & a one minute bonus exercise before the cool down & stretch.

Exercises include row variations, V pull, rear fly, plank jacks, weighted plyo lunge & twist, reaching bicycle abs & renegade rows, deadlift, bridge hold & ribcage pullover, weighted side plank pulse, superman lat pull, prone swimmer, woodchop, low plank pulse, squat hop to burpee, lawnmower pull, plyo kettlebell swing, and kick & floor touch. The bonus is sprint & floor touch.

Using heavy weights this is an advanced workout. The guys offer modifications both up & down so it is easy to modify the workout to fit your fitness level. They do a great job of working the entire back and you get in some core & cardio all in under 40 minutes. As always, great cuing and form pointers. The Burn week really allows you to focus on one body part at a time but also includes cardio & core in each routine for a really complete workout every day.
