This DVD contains three 22-25 min yoga routines. You will not need any equipment for these routines. Alanna leads alone in front of the beautiful Pacific Ocean, lush greenery, and a pool. This is done in voiceover.
Toning: (22 min) Poses include seated breath work, cat cow, seated c curve series, down dog to knee hovers, table top knee pulls & ham curls, childs pose, plank, knee pushups, tri press, c curve roll downs, modified boat pose to pose, bridge series, crunch series, yogi bike, and concludes with breath work & corps pose.
Flexibility: (23 min) Poses include mountain, breathing, side stretches, warrior & hip stretches adding shoulder stretch, triangle pose & tri stretch, 1/2 split, runners lunge hip flex stretch, ham stretch, plank, cobra, down dog calf stretches, climbing pigeon, and concludes with corpse & seated breathing.
Stress Relief: (25 min) Poses include seated breathing, seated forward fold, cat cow variations, thread the needle, head to knee pose, supine twist, and concludes with corpse & seated prayer. This routine holds the postures for longer than most routines to promote stress relief & relaxation.
I rate these routines appropriate for all fitness levels. Alanna offers beginner modifications through more advanced poses.These are generally slower moving more meditative routines, great for relaxation. Alanna includes a lot of positive self talk. I received this DVD to review.
