RIPT90 FIT: Legs & Glutes

Jody leads this 25 min lower body workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will only need dumbbells for this routine. The workout contains a warm-up/ stretch and a cool-down/ stretch.

Most exercises are performed 10 reps each and you repeat the circuit, and perform a finisher routine before the stretch. Exercises include unweighted side lunges, unweighted squats, single leg deadlifts, alternating lunges, and deadlifts. Finisher: goblet squats & plyo lunges.

This is a high intermediate routine. The pace allows for heavy weights and that gets your heart rate up too giving a great cardio effect. Jody provides some short breaks but really keeps things moving along in this one.

Jody leads this 27 min total body strength & workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. These are total body exercises that will really get your heart rate up. You will need dumbbells & an optional kettlebell for this routine. The workout contains a warm-up/ stretch and a cool-down/ stretch.

Each exercise is done for 30 seconds followed by 30 seconds rest and the circuit is performed 2 times with one min rest before repeating. Exercises include lunges, manmakers, snatches, elevator plank, alternating bi curls, and squat with overhead press.

I rate this an advanced routine using heavy weights. The pace allows you to heavy up & there a lot of combo moves so this workout really packs a punch! Most all muscles are worked & your heart will be pumping. Love the "get-in-get-out" feel to these routines that really accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. I received this DVD to review.

RIPT90 FIT: Abs & Legs

Jody leads this 21 min lower body & core strength workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need dumbbells and a pull-up bar for this routine. The workout contains a warm-up/ stretch and a cool-down/ stretch.

You will perform 3 core exercises & 3 leg exercises 2 times with rest between rounds and conclude with a finisher. Exercises include hanging knee raises, sit ups, crunches, deadlifts, squats, lunges with overhead press and a finisher: 4X 10 goblet squats and 10 tuck jumps. 

I rate this a solid to high intermediate routine. The pull up bar really ups the intensity of the core work. These workouts are great "get in-get out" workouts without difficult choreo or complicated exercises. The exercises really work so you do accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. The finisher really got my heart rate up. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 28 min strength workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need dumbbells and an optional pull-up bar for this routine. The workout contains a warm-up/ stretch and a cool-down/ stretch.

You will perform 3 back exercises & 3 leg exercises 2 times with 30 seconds rest between rounds and conclude with a finisher. Exercises include lat pull downs, rows, pull-ups, goblet squats, side lunges, and lunges. Your finisher is 5 rounds of 4 pull-ups & 10 squat jumps.

I rate this an advanced workout using heavy weights. Jody's pace allows for heavy poundage & using a pull-up bar I got an excellent burn in my lower body & back. I like the pace & that I could use heavy weights in this one. Straight to the point & the finisher really got my heart rate up. I received this DVD to review.

RIPT90 FIT: Bonus Stretch

Jody leads this 11 min bonus stretch routine with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need a PVC pipe or broom stick for this routine. 


Stretches include PVC pipe chest opener, around the world stretch, tri & delt stretches, yoga pushups to down dog, nice kneeling bi & chest stretch, ham stretch, hip flexor & hip openers, modified pigeon, butterfly pose, and childs pose. 

This routine is appropriate and recommended for all fitness levels. This is an athletic style stretch with a few yoga poses. I love the use of the PVC pipe to really enhance the stretches. 
I have also used a stretchy exercise band instead and it worked very well.I use  this quick stretch routine all the time. It really does help & hits all muscle groups. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 30 min mainly workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will only need a set of dumbbells or a kettlebell for this routine. 


After a warm up you will 7 rounds of 3 exercises. Each exercise is completed within 1 minute, using the remainder of the minute to recover. Exercises are: burpees, snatches, and plyo lunges. The workout concludes with a cool down & stretch. 

This is an advanced workout. You will be burning major calories & huffing & puffing by the end. The workout is mainly cardio though you will get some strength work from the snatches & even the plyo lunges if you are going deep in your lunge. This is a great, get in, work hard, and get out workout - all in under 30 minutes. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 28 min strength & cardio workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need dumbbells for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout. This is your benchmark workout, where you will start the rotation and finish it- gauging your progress throughout. 


After a warm up, you will perform 20 rounds of: 3 burpees, 5 squat with overhead press, and 7 sit-ups. You have one minute for each round and the remainder of the minute is for recovery. You conclude with a cool down & stretch. 

This is an advanced routine- by the 20th round you have done a LOT of reps of each exercise. Great cardio throughout as you are constantly moving. You do get about 20ish seconds rest between rounds, making this very doable, but also tough. I definitely felt my buns, shoulders & core by the end! I received this DVD to review.

RIPT90 FIT Hard Core Chest

Jody leads this 33 min chest & core workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need dumbbells, and an optional bench for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout, and audio options are available. Various exercise levels are provided.


After a warm up, you do 6 reps of 3 exercises performed 6 times. Exercises include pushups, plank, bench press, hollow man, pec fly, V twist and concludes with a 25 burpee pushups before a cool down stretch.

I rate this an advanced routine using heavy weights. You can easily modify this up or down by following one of the mods. My chest & core were both feeling this! The pace is quick but does allow for heavier weights. Between the sets you get some recovery time but otherwise, this is a pretty non-stop routine. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 21 min strength workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need a pull up bar, dumbbells, and an optional PVC pipe or broom (used for the warm up only) for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout.  


After a warm up, you do 12 reps of each exercise per round with supersets between rounds. Exercises include lat raise, upper back flys, upright rows, pull ups & overhead press, and bent over rows. Jody gives you about 30 seconds rest between circuits. 

Because of the pullups, this is an advanced routine. You can easily modify this up or down by adjusting your poundage, using assistance bands for the pull ups or subbing out the pull-ups. They do not show non-pull-up alternatives and encourage you to get a pull-up bar, but you can easily sub in rows or other back work if you dont have a pull-up bar. I used resistance tubing instead of the PVC pipe in the warm up and found this to be a great alternative. This is a solid get-in-get-out strength routine that accomplishes a lot in under 30 minutes. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 29 min strength routine in a gym with 3 backgrounders. You will need dumbbells, an optional bench, and an optional PVC pipe or broom (for the warmup). 

You will perform 12 reps of each exercise and then repeat, with a rest between sets. After a warm-up, exercises include bench press with rotation, bi curl to forearm curl, pec fly, overhead tri drop, single arm bench press, clean & press, and burnout finisher done 4X each of bicep 21s & a pushup variation.

The intensity of this routine will depend on your poundage. The pace is moderate and allows for heavier weights, which in turn gave me an advanced workout. My chest & arms were definitely feeling it by the end of this one. If you like to really burn out a muscle group -this is the set for you! Great strength building in a short amount of time each day. Jody leads this 28 min arms & shoulder strength workout with 3 backgrounders in a gym set. You will need a pull up bar, dumbbells, and an optional PVC pipe or broom (used for the warm up only) for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout.  


After a warm up, you do 2 rounds of exercises and conclude with a burner circuit of 2 exercises repeated 3 times. Exercises include reverse grip chi-ups, overhead press, kickbacks, hammer curls, upright rows, overhead tri drops, clean & press and single arm over head tri drop. You do about 10 reps per exercise and can heavy up pretty nicely at this pace. Jody gives you about 30 seconds rest between circuits. 

I rate this a s high intermediate following the group. You can easily modify this up or down by adjusting your poundage, using assistance bands for the pull ups or subbing out the pull-ups. They do not show non-pull-up alternatives and encourage you to get a pull-up bar, but you can easily sub in rows or other back work if you dont have a pull-up bar. I used resistance tubing instead of the PVC pipe in the warm up and found this to be a great alternative. Jody leads this 26 min cardio workout with 3 background exercisers (men & woman) in a gym set. You will need light dumbbells or a kettlebell for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout. 


After a warm up you will perform 3 rounds of: burpees, jump squats, Mt. climbers, kettlebell swings, plyo lunges, and a cool down. You get a 60 second rest between rounds. 

I rate this a low advanced cardio workout-that definitely had my lungs burning. You will perform 10-50 reps of each exercise. No fluff-just great cardio that will have you sweating! Jody offers modification options up or down for many exercises. I received this DVD to review.

Jody leads this 17 min core workout with 2 other gentlemen in a gym set. You wont need any equipment for this routine. There is an onscreen timer so you know where you are at in the workout. This core routine does not have a warm up or cool down. 


You do a few rounds of sit ups, knee pulls, bicycle legs, crunches, bicycle, reverse crunches, scissor legs, and 6 inch hold.

I rate this a high intermediate or low advanced ab workout. This is a high rep workout, though it is under 20  minutes- your abs will really feel it! Not a lot of down time and accomplishes a lot in only 17 minutes. I received this DVD to review.
