Beachbody Review: 21 Day Fix Extreme: Lower Fix Extreme Featuring Autumn Calabrese


If you have tried the original 21 Day Fix and loved it like I did, and are ready for the next level - 21 Day Fix Extreme is your answer. Same awesome format, same awesome instructor, just bumped up a level. The workouts are short -still around 30 minutes each, but they're extreme. The eating plan is simple, and the program comes complete with color coded food storage containers, nutrition guide, recipes, fitness info & more. This is the EXACT program that Autumn herself uses to get ready for a competition or photo shoot.

21 Day Fix Extreme: Lower Fix ExtremeAutumn Calabrese, 2015

This is a 34 min lower body & cardio workout. Autumn works out in a gym with a group of exercisers, one showing easier modifications for most exercises. You will need dumbbells and a resistance band for this workout. The workout consists of four rounds, 2 exercises per round, performed 2 times each. Each one minute exercise is broken down into 30 seconds and then 30 unweighted followed by a short rest. 

After a warm up, exercises include: squats & squat jumps, lunge & lunge kicks, single leg squat and one leg squat hops, side lunge & side leg abduction, plie and plie hops, dips & static lunge hops, band donkey kicks, band crab walks and concludes with a short stretch.

This is an advanced workout that accomplishes a lot in only about 35 minutes. No wasted time but not at all rushed. While some of the work is unweighted it really burned out my legs and also got my heart rate up. The pace allows for moderately heavy weights and as always Autumn is a top notch instructor. I really enjoy these workouts!!! I received this dvd to review.
