Herb Pharm Presents: Jillian Michaels Detox Tea Recipe IMPROVED

Over the winter, the liver and kidneys likely went into overdrive trying to process rich, fatty, holiday indulgences – not to mention the added alcohol celebrating can bring. So it’s time to not only think about eating clean, nourishing foods that cleanse, but also using certain herbs that can help the body rid itself of metabolic waste, toxins and excess fat. Herb Pharm, has a number of herbs that can help! I love herbs and always opt for them over chemicals! I had the pleasure of reviewing Herb Pharms Milk Thistle and their Dandelion and I am excited about both of them! Herb Pharm is organic and does not use GMO seeds. YAY!!!!

Herb Pharm Dandelion – Mentioned in works of physicians dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries, this herb packs a powerful punch by helping to cleanse both the liver and kidneys, and is loaded with vitamins and trace minerals. Have you all seen the Jillian Michael's cleansing tea? It calls for Dandelion tea, which honestly does not taste good. I would highly recommend using Herb Pharms dandelion extract instead of the tea. Much quicker and easier than brewing tea and it tastes MUCH better! This recipe below is so much easier to use and to store the ingredients than her original and provides all the same health benefits.

Here is my improved Jillian Michael's Detox Tea Recipe:  Jillian states that with her recipe, in 7-days you can use this detox tea to lose 5lbs of excess water weight.
Ingredients
60 oz distilled water1/2 tsp Herb Pharm Cranberry
2 T lemon juice1 tsp Herb Pharm Dandelion

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large water bottle. Drink the water throughout the day. Drink one entire pitcher each day for 7 days. According to Jillian Michaels, this will help you lose up to 5lbs in excess water weight. Number of Servings: 1

I had the pleasure of trying Herb Pharm's Milk Thistle as well. This is one of Herb Pharms’ most popular
herbal capsules for cleansing, milk thistle helps to repair and regenerate damaged liver cells caused by alcohol or other toxins that find their way into our bodies. For those who enjoy a few (or a few too many adult beverages) I highly recommend this! Do your liver a favor and grab some Herb Pharm Milk Thistle capsules. They are easy to take - just a small gel cap.

Another Herb Pharm product I cant wait to try is Burdock Blend – Coming from the same plant family as artichokes and rhubarb, burdock helps clear the skin, joints and liver from general toxicity. I used to eat burdock root in Japan and it is actually quite good and is touted as a cleansing vegetable there.

Herb Pharm grows most of its herbs in a rural valley of the Siskiyou Mountains in Southern Oregon. As an organic farm, they never use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides, or GMO seeds. Ensuring the most potent herbal healthcare products, its herbal extraction facility is located just a few miles from its farm, where freshly harvested herbs are immediately extracted while still fresh and succulent. Herb Pharms’ capsules are made with herbs that are organically cultivated and grown without herbicides and pesticides, and then carefully dried and encapsulated to conserve the potency of the herb.

Herb Pharm herbal supplements can be found in health and wellness sections of grocery stores and at drug retail chains such as Walgreens, as well as at herb-pharm.com.
