barre3 Ballet Boot Camp Review

Candace Ofcacek , 2014

Candace leads this 30 min barre style workout. You will need a mat, light weights, a small ball, and a chair for this workout. Sadie works out with 2 background exercisers, one showing modifications. The DVD also includes a 10 min bonus core workout.

After a quick warmup, exercises include crescent post with tri kickbacks, horse pose & up & over arms, demi pliet & angled out bi work, crescent lunge & pull downs, pulsing squats with the ball between your knees with your heels raised, attitude rear leg raises, standing table work, standing balance leg series, seated core work using the ball, weighted oblique twists, leg drops, and a seated stretch.

Bonus Core: side leg raises & sweeps, side bend & forward fold, crunches with frog leg pulls, leg drops, seated ball push outs, stretches, and seated forward fold with the ball under your lower back.

I rate this an intermediate strength routine. The flowing arm gets your heart rate up and the high rep work really targets the muscles. Candace is a great instructor and this is a unique routine. I received this dvd to review.
