Nikki Dastrup, 2015

Nikki does not lead this workout but is a background exerciser along with 4 others. You will not need any equipment for this 67 minute bodyweight strength & cardio workout. The group works out in a gym and a modifier is provided. You will need to perform your own warm up & cool down.

You will perform 30 seconds strength followed by 30 seconds of cardio for 3 rounds followed by a 30 second rest. Exercises include: squats & squat jumps, plank & pushups, crunches & V crunches, fast feet to burpees, lunges & lunge hops, plank & walk out planks, side plank & side jack knife, squats & jacks, squat & pop squat, squat to plank, supine leg drops & reverse crunches, jack & jabs, plie & plyo plie, plank & burpees, fast knees & butt kicks, toe tap hops, plank & burpees, and sit ups & V drops.

I rate this a very high intermediate/ low advanced routine. I really like the format, you hit it hard for 3 minutes then get a 30 second rest. The timed intervals allow you to go at your own pace. The intensity of this routine was perfect me- got me working HARD but not wanting to die, I foresee no dread factor with these workouts! Even without weights I got a nice lower body & core burn and the cardio really had my heart pumping throughout the workout. Great athletic cardio and the instructor provides good cuing & motivation. I received this DVD to review.
