Review: Natural Journeys Total Body Sculpt

Cindy leads this workout out alone in a nice fitness studio set. You will only need dumbells for this workout. The workout is divided up into five 10 minute segments You can play all or each segment individually.

Upper Body: I was able to use pretty heavy weights in this section. She does a lot of multi-muscle moves & some unique moves. Cindy hits every UB muscle group  including a nice back & chest section. Some exercises are: pushups, tri extensions, & a bi curl- military press- tri extension combo.

Lower Body: I was able to use my heaviest weights for the duration. Some exercises include: 1 legged deadlift variations, side squats, side lunges, and a floor section:  outer thigh lifts and donkey kicks. Lots of unique exercises.

Abs: Cindy starts with standing core work (love) and some of the floor core work includes planks, side planks,  plank taps, oblique pinch and other unique & effective core work that I felt this next day!

Cardio: Cindy keeps it fairly low impact but I added more hops and plyos and my heart was really pumping! Exercises include: jumping jacks, side touches, skiers, side hops, and jump rope. Love the straight forward athletic cardio in this section.

Stretch: This is a 10 minute total body stretch segment that is a great way to finish off your workout or to use any time to work out those tired muscles.

I rate this an intermediate workout that can easily be adapted to any fitness level by adjusting your poundage. If you are a Cindy fan and/or like the 10 minute format you will love this workout. This dvd has a great place in my collection as I love both Cindy & 10 minute add-ons. Its great to use in its entirety for a 50 min total body workout or add on segments to other w/o's. Cindy is a great motivating instructor and her cuing is great! I received this dvd to review.
