I recently bought Cathe's newest series ICE. ICE stands for Intermediate Conditioning Extreme. The set includes seven DVDs in one sturdy plastic DVD case. The DVDs also contain five "Muscle Meltdown" workout, two ab workouts, and five "Blizzard Blast" workouts. The Muscle Meltdowns are short body part specific all strength routines. Cathe leads this 48 min kickboxing workout in her studio with 4 backgrounders. Some modifications options are offered. You will not need any equipment for this workout. It is fully chaptered, contains premixes, ICY Core 1, a Blizzard Blast, and Muscle Meltdown Triceps.
After a warm-up, side lunge series with knees abductions and floor touches, marches with front back & side kicks, jabs, upper cuts, cross punches, punch combos, jump rope, plyo lunge & smash, jab-cross- knee pull-jump, torso twist & knee pull, jab & walk forward, jack & plyo combo, shuffle & air jacks, squat -crescent knee adding hops, snow angle jack & kick, cardio lunges, speed bag jacks, knee & hitch kicks, fast feet flurry, plyo & tuck jumps, and a cooldown stretch.
I rate this a high intermediate routine in terms of intensity and low intermediate in terms of choreography. Cathe does a great job of keeping it interesting without being overly complex. She offers "keep it low" mods so you control your intensity. There are a lot of jacks in this one and not a lot of down time. All in all a great cardio kickbox routine. I did not receive this DVD to review.
