New Shoot Review: The Bootylicious Workout with Feyi J

Feyi J, 2016

This DVD has three ~ 20 minute routines that target the lower body, and also includes separate warm up & cool down sections. You will only need a bar or chair for stability in the Barre routine. There is also a step guide for the Cardio Booty routine. You can play all or select a routine from the menu.

Cardio Booty: (23 min) This is an add on-style lower body focused cardio dance routine. Exercises include step touch adding knee up & arms, plie hip shifts, lunge & block, small kick combo, hop & hip shifts, squat with booty wobble, hip pops & booty squeeze, squat with pelvic tuck & 180 degree hops. 

Booty Barre: (22 min) Feyi works out barefoot in this routine. You will do 2 sets of 8 reps and string the exercises together for a fun little routine.  Exercises include cat stretches, calf pedals, tondu, plie & releve in first & second positions, plie pulses adding arms, toe stance pelvic tilts, arabesque, quad extensions to arabesque, & rear toe semi circles.

Booty Sculpt: (19 min) Feyi works out barefoot in this routine. For the majority of the routine, you will perform 8 reps of 2 exercises then add 2 more and repeat. Exercises include narrow squats, squats,  side to side lunges adding pulses and balance rear leg raise, single leg squat pulses, traveling plies with a heel drag, static plie with knee pushees, floor touch squats with rotational reaches & a rear leg raise, a donkey series, and side lying clam. 

These are fun & unique intermediate routines with easy to follow choreography. I really like Feyi as a lead. She is very professional and there is no "bootylicious" talk in the workout. This is one of my new fav lower body routines. Great instruction, unique, and effective. There is well over an hour of footage on this DVD! I received this DVD to review.
