Mamma Chia even offers bars, and whole chia seeds!

DID YOU KNOW? Chia seeds are a complete protein, a rich plant-based source of Omega-3s providing fiber, antioxidants, minerals and more. Mamma Chia’s top-four favorite benefits of chia seeds include:

  1. Rich Nutritional Value: Gram per gram, chia has 8x more Omega-3s than salmon, 25 percent more fiber than flaxseed, 30 percent more antioxidants than blueberries, 2x more potassium than bananas, 70 percent more protein than soy beans, and 2x more calcium than milk.

  1. Satiety: Chia is a complete protein, which can help you feel more satisfied after a meal.

  1. Digestion: Chia seeds have both soluble and insoluble fiber, which can aid in digestion.

  1. Plant Protein: Chia has more than 4g of vegetarian protein per one ounce, and unlike flaxseed, chia does not have to be ground to reap its benefits.
My favorite way to use Chia seeds is to make overnight oats. They are perfect for busy mornings, the warmer months, and camping (my go to camping breakfast!)

  • Overnight Oats:
  • 1/4 cup raw oats
  • 1 TBS chia seeds
  • 2/3 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 2 txp PB2 (divided)
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • splash vanilla

Place in a jar or container with a lid and store in refrigerator overnight. Enjoy the next morning. There are a ton of varieties online for different flavors!
